Etude House Wonder Pore White Clay Clear mask review
Korean cosmetics are becoming more and more famous in North America. As an Asian lived in Asia myself, I tried lots of Korean products before but sadly the makeup didn’t impress me. However, I find Korean skincare is fun and promising so I always want to try new stuffs. Last year when I was in Korea, I bought the whole set of Etude House Wonder Pore and I felt in love with one of them: White Clay Clear mask.
Etude House White Clay Clear mask is the tradional wash off mask that you leave on the skin for 10-15 minutes then rinse off. It promises to have 7 benefits:
1. Deep cleanses pores
2. Maintain pH 4.5+-1
3. Control a large amount of sebum
4. Minimize appearance of pores
5. Refine skintone
6. Keep the elasticity of pores
7. Moisturize inside and outside of skin
Normally I don’t trust a product with a long list of benefits but well, this one does work!
Etude House White Clay Clear mask makes my skin feel soooo clean and fresh after every use (#1). I also see a dramatic change in terms of oil producing: less greasy, shiny even after 4-5 hours (#3). It gives me a silky baby bottom smooth effect but never dries my skin out like other clay masks do. In opposite, it does moisturize and hydrate the skin (#7).
Because I have no way to check the pH so I can’t say anything about #2. Number #4 and #6 I find it gimmicky since I don’t believe you can change the size of the pores. However, Etude House White Clay Clear mask gives an instant effect of a more bouncy, “tight” and bright skin. It also eliminates my redness (#5).
One good thing I notice from this mask is it accelerates the developing process of existence pimple (if that makes any sense, excuse my English). Like I had a huge bump on my forehead, it looked swollen and red that I wanted to pop so much but I didn’t see any “white core”. So I putted this mask on, waited 15mins then rinsed it off, the “white core” appeared!! I didn’t even need to pop it because the next morning after washing my face, it automatically fell out!
Oh and did I tell you about the heavenly texture of Etude House White Clay Clear mask?! It’s soft, bouncy and moussy just as marshmallows!!!!! It has a minty, powdery smell – very relaxing in the combination of the cooling effect.
In overall, I LOVE this mask and highly recommend it to everyone, especially acne and oily skin!
