Makeup removing and face cleansing are my most favorite part of skincare! I love the nice and relief feelings after take out inches of makeup on my face. That’s why to have good cleanser is to have good skin for me, and I’m always on the hunt for my holy grail product! This time I tried Innisfree Green Tea cleansing water from Innisfree, a famous Korean cosmetics brand.
Now, some people may be tricked by the word “water” like I was. Do not mistaken this to the micellar water kind of cleanser, when you only need to wipe the face with some cotton pad soaked by this product then done. This Innisfree Green tea cleansing water requires to rinse the face with water afterward. That’s why on Innisfree website many people complained about the stickiness left on the skin, it’s because they didn’t rinse the face after!
So already, this product has a big turn down for me when it requires an extra step!
The packaging, however, it’s really nice. It’s a chubby plastic transparent bottle. The cap is not so secure but it will be fine just sitting on my counter top. Instead of a traditional pump, this pump is flat and rounded so you only need to place the cotton pad on top, push once or twice then it will be soaked with the cleansing water. Please refer to the picture below to see the nice pump 😀
The Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water cleanses my makeup really well, even with the long lasting foundation and some waterproof mascara. My skin feels really clean but not dried out afterward. It’s not sticky at all (again, if rinse out afterward). However, it gives me a slight tingly feeling, not so irritated but I would say not for sensitive skin! It has a strong smell of alcohol and fake green tea, more like straight up cheap soap.
Overall, it’s good for removing makeup and dirt but it’s not something that I can enjoy. I want something gentle, relaxing more than just soap on my face. The price is around 15USD/300ml so it’s nice to try but I will not repurchase.
