Revlon Bold Lacquer by Grow Luscious mascara review
Being a girl with super straight and quite thin lashes, my concern is to have big curl and volume. There’s not much curl-specified mascaras in the market so my best chance is always with waterproof formula and a volumize mascara. I chose Revlon Bold Lacquer length and volume waterproof mascara for that reason. And who can resist a price of $4.99?
This mascara has the rubber wand and bristles. The bristles are shorts and tightly packed. I like the size of the comb, which is not too big or too small.
This mascara has a dry texture and strong mascara smell. It’s so dry that my lashes feel crunchy upon applied. Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara does lengthen my lashes, not so much but I can see a difference and it hold the curl perfectly. It will stay on WHOLE DAY!
A big con in Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara is it does clump my lashes, especially if I apply a second coat. The photo below is with Revlon Bold Lacquer on my left eye (right side), it was with 1 coat but it does clump and the lashes look quite dry and harsh.
It doesn’t flake through out the day, but only when I take it off. It’s quite hard to remove Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara with a cream or micellar water, however a cleansing oil does the job.
Overall, this is an OK mascara for me, I used it until the end because there’s not much mascara that holds my curl. I just wish it was less dry and clumpy, it would be perfect for me.
