I got this Lipsurgence Power Pigment from a set back in summer. Tarte seriously knows how to attract their customers by launching tons of good value gift sets with cute packaging. Mine has the theme of sun kissed look, so of course it comes with the Exposed color for both blush and lipstick, what else can be more flattering in the summer with a honey bronzey glowing skin?!
On the website, Exposed is described as a nude pink, but I think it will be more appropriate to call it a beige pink (since nude for every skintone is different). This color is beyond beautiful with or without heavy makeup, it goes with every look. It doesn’t wash me out even though I have medium skintone. This is a perfect pinky beige for summer!
This Lipsurgence Power Pigment is a kind of glossy twist up lip pencil (so no need to sharpen it!). I love how thin this pencil is, it helps to have the most precise application (not like the jumbo lipsticks out there!).
The texture of this lippie is really soft and smooth just as butter (it even melts a little bit in hot weather). This reminds me of the Revlon lip butter, but the Tarte one is slighty creamier. It glides on the lips really easily regardless of how patchy and dry my lips are. However, because of this over smooth texture, it can be a bit streaky.
Tarte Lipsurgence Power Pigment has a slight scent of mint, and it pumps the lips really well! It also moisturizes my chapped lips whole day, but the color staying power is not that strong though.
Overall, this is a good lippie for summer when I want plumply, shiny and moist lips. After trying this product, I really want to try other Tarte lipsticks, do you have any recommendation? Please share with me I would love to know! ^^
